Lots of commercial software products exist, and they all work similarly, but if you don’t understand the basics of “as of dates” and “economic limits” then no training are worthwhile. What is a BTU factor and how does shrinkage work? What is a NYMEX strip and why do we use price differentials? This course starts with the basics of modeling parameters and the thinking piece behind setting up a reserves evaluation database. Each classmate is given a check-list of common errors found on cash flow statements, and everyone walks out knowing how to generate proper cash flow statements and one-line reports from commercial software.
